Weekend News
Jackson - I play here at the big kid's playground at school. We went to the grocery store and I got a rally car and a off road truck. Jaylen got the same but different colors.
Ellery - I play with blocks with momma and I read books.
Shanaya - On the weekend, I was looking for roll-a-skates and they coming today. I didn't find any regular roll-a-skates at the store. So I buy some online.
Cooper - I play puppy ball with my sister. I ate waffles for breakfast.
James V. - I see my Nana and Frank and I also get a Valentine's present which was my heart.
Zoey - I play Olivia and we play werewolves. We play park and we eat something.
Willow - Well, I didn't play with my sister cause she was sick. I watch tv and I play with my parents. I go to Alverthorpe park. I got my sister a new stuffie.
Julian - I build a tall house with Magna-tile and it was like a chimney. I go with Diana and I got grill cheese.
Lydia - I play with my mom's dinosaur moving toy. I play with my sister but she was so sad cause I didn't play her.
Grant - I play the playroom at my house.
James M. - So, I went to Villanova against Seton hall, it's college basketball. Villanova win and I watched the super bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs won and that's the second time they won cause they beat us last year in the super bowl.
Olivia - Zoey had play date me but it was not at my house. I play with my mom and Peppa Pig and Bluey.
Ekin - I went on the train to Philly and I made some only and I went to Circus and I had an awesome day.
Ada - I go to my grandma's house. I stay for some of the night and I play with my cousin.
Surai - I had Valentine's party at my house with my cousins. I did Ballet.
Addy - I see the Chinese dragon at Chinatown. I eat duck and Logan got a clock from Chinatown.
Alicia told the Cardinals, today we are going to go over the Spanish words for clothing and add a few new clothing words. We did a swatter game and it was great seeing how many words the Cardinals recalled. Today it was Lydia's turn to squeeze la vaca!
The Cardinals worked on learning yoga breathing and poses with Josh in gym class today. Josh instructed the Cardinals to pick a yoga mat, sit on it and then he showed the Cardinals how to take deep quiet breaths. Josh continued by introducing us to Trolls Yoga which included many yoga poses such as glitter shower pose, tree pose and downward dog pose. The Cardinals enjoyed gym class and were focused as they did a great job following instructions. Ask your Cardinal to show you a pose/s and how to breathe while doing yoga?
Wednesday
Choice Time
Addy led us into the music room, after warming up to Tik Tik Tak by Glykeria. Our special owl friends greeted us and the Cardinals along with Whooty the owl sang our hello song Jambo. Afterwards we reviewed our Round the haystack, followed by reviewing the book Over the meadow. This time we did things a little differently, Keisha instructed the Cardinals to create their own movements to the animals such as hiding like turtles and flying like bees. After Jack in the box the Cardinals learned a new chant named Ahhhh looking good. Once friends sang the goodbye song they lined up and sang goodbye to Keisha in our best Whooty voice. What a great class! Ask your Cardinal to make Whooty's tone of voice for you!
Today the Cardinals celebrate Valentine's Day and three Birthdays joy all in one, which was an awesome time!! Zoey, Cooper and Jackson brought in cupcakes to celebrate their birthdays. Jackson and Cooper turned 5 years old yesterday and were granted with a snowy day to begin their celebration. Zoey with be 4 years old on Sunday and will be traveling to celebrate! Thank you, Cooper, Zoey and Jackson for sharing your special day with us!!

Many thanks to our Cardinal families for providing a very appreciated Valentine's day snack of soft pretzels, grapes, yogurt, cookies and cupcakes. Our Cardinals truly enjoyed it as many friends did not eat much of their lunch!
Thursday
After our greeting, Calendar and hundred chart work in Spanish. The Cardinals played a swatter game. This time the Cardinals called out the Spanish works for each pair of two friends. Alicia was super impressed with the Cardinal's work! Today it was Julian's turn to squeeze la vaca!
Back in the classroom, we ate snack followed by taking part in messy fun with shaving cream. The Cardinals spend time outside enjoying and playing in the remaining snow and ice.
We came back inside and enjoyed two rounds of musical chairs before lunch time!
