The Cardinals warmed up to Hamsters On A Piano by Parry Gripp in music class. We then had a moment of silence to settle our bodies after dancing, followed by singing our hello song Jambo. Friends did movements and sang Here is a bunny. Keisha's friend (Peter Rabbit) who use a speaking voice introduced us to another friend (Betty the butterfly) and she like to use a whispering voice. The Cardinals then made a choice of using their speaking or whispering voice as they spoke to Keisha. Keisha told the Cardinals that they will be other friends that will introduced different tones of voice. Keisha then read the book, The Animal Boogie and the Cardinals acted out the animals in the book. Nice work Cardinals!! Ask your Cardinal to name 2-3 animals in the book?
Back in our classroom, the Cardinals listened to the book, Reach Out And Give by Cheri J Meiners, M.Ed. before sharing a FriendsGiving snack of Hawaiian rolls with/without cream cheese, little bites muffins, grapes, strawberries, yogurt, veggie straws and pirate booty. We all had a fun time eating and having conversation!! The bowls were refilled and all friends had 2-6 helpings!! We turned the tables into a rocket ship and ate our FriendsGiving snack family style!!
