Monday

Weekend News

Grant - I go to Dave and Busters me, mom, Jackson, and Kennedy. I play games and they have a new game. I play new game. I go home and watch tv. I watch Bluey. At my house, I change my clothes then I go downstairs and had dinner.

James M. - I had my race and I went to Halligan's pub. I mostly eat there. My friends come over to play Zori and Gema. I also play with my new Rodger Dodger monster truck toy. I also went to a party for one of my cousins. It was a birthday party. That's it.

Olivia - Mommy did yard work and I play baby dolls and Bluey. We had dinner, daddy got dinner it was good.

Ekin - I made fried bread chicken with my dad and it was homemade. And it was so good, we share with our mom. I play at grandma's with my toy lawn mower. I bought it from the Target at Cheltenham. I don't remember the rest.

Ada - I went to a restaurant because my dad's working at a new work. Everyone who live in my house went so me, my dad, my mom and my brother. I play in my playroom. I play pets and I play with my brother.

Surai - I stay at home and I went to Sha-Sha dad's house. I stay there and do some fun stuff. He always give me some food when I get hungry and I be happy. I watch tv then I go to bed. Mommy put her hand on me to relax then we left Sha-Sha dad's house and Sha-Sha come with us home.

Addy - I did homework and I play.

Jackson - I went to like a Carnival thing. I got Chick stuffy. I go to swim class and I go to basketball. Gigi came over. She came to put us to bed because mom and dad went to dinner. On Sunday mom and dad came back home. Mommy pushed me on the swings and push Jaylen on the swings.

Ellery - I play at home with magna-tiles. I build house. We eat at a restaurant, me, mommy, dada and Holland. We go home and play with blocks.

Shanaya - I went to a barbecue with mommy, daddy and my brother Sebastain. Mommy did my hair and I donate some of my toys that I didn't like. I don't play with them but they still my favorite. And then I just play, that's all.

Cooper - We go to Met's game, it's baseball. Me, my mom, my sister, my dad and grandpa go and somebody give me a baseball. There was the Met's apple, it pops up. They playing against the Cardinals. I didn't know who to cheer for, but I decide the Met's cause everybody was cheering for the Met's. I got 2 Mr Met's, one for my sister one for me. And they were given out Harry Potter stuff and I got a scarf.

James V. - Nana came to see me and she saw me play quick ball. My daddy is the coach. I also play outside. I play Minecraft with my mommy and when we play Minecraft we just get food.

Zoey - I paint my nails. My mommy did blue. It's paint already on my fingers. I go to gymnastics, we dance around first then we play and we make a train before we play. We walk to playroom. It was 1, 2, 3 it was 3 play rooms it was so many so many playroom.

Willow - My mom's coworker came we play Wolf family. And then my mom took him to the train station and he gave us some fresh maple syrup from the maple tree. We had fun outside. At first we didn't know what to do but then we thought of a game catch the Willow and Ren ran after me. I ran and ran but the grass was really slippery and I fell and Ren try to take care of me but then she call back up. Then Aba found some blocks for us to play with on the deck.

Julian - We went to the playground. Then we went back home and we play. I play outside and came back inside and I play inside and that's it.

Lydia - I play with my horsey toys. They like to wear red shorts and they gallop. We made horsey books. We read the books me and horsey. We went to Aunt Analisa and Uncle Mike's house. It's both their house. I talk to them. That's it.

After Alicia greeted us and our morning jobs in Spanish! The Cardinals continued their work of learning to say their animal's name in Spanish as well as peer's animals. Followed by the Cardinals playing a game of swatter in which Alicia called an animal's name in Spanish. Friends then tapped the animal's picture with a swatter. Friends also played a game of Camina, Camina (walk) in which the Cardinals walked around the classroom and when Alicia said para (stop). We stopped and listened for the animal being called. The Cardinals looked for and pointed to the animal that was called. Nice work Cardinals!! Today it was Ada's turn to squeeze la vaca!

Gym class with Josh began with the Cardinals using mesh jerseys to ice skate. Each friend took two and skated around the gym like professionals. Next, Josh gave friends a scoop and a ball. The Cardinals practiced catching and scooping up the ball. Today the Cardinals worked on balance, coordination, body control, space awareness and focus. After watching Josh attempt to juggle like The Flash, the Cardinals said goodbye!

Tuesday

Early this morning the whole school took part in an unannounced practice fire drill. Our Cardinals were so amazing, following directions, getting out of the classroom quickly, staying together as a group and staying quiet outside as we waited for directions from Andrea!!. Ask you Cardinal what do you think of the fire drill?

The Cardinals worked on flower making like in the book (below) in art class today. Johanna began by asking friends what they noticed about what's happening outside? Some of the answers were flowers are back on trees, it's warm that's why I'm wearing shorts, yellow flowers, flowers are growing at my house too and the water pump at the playground is on. The grass is growing too. Johanna then read the book, How to Plant a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. Friends then used stencils, different color paper, creative scissors and glue to design their work.

What do Flamingo do with their beak? They eat shrimp.

What do Cats like to do? They play with balls, strings and catch mice.

How do Lions eat meat? Well, their teeth is very sharp to eat meat and they kill what they want to eat.

What do Cats eat? They like cat food, milk and water.

Wednesday

Willow led us into the music room. Friends choose shaker eggs or scarves to warm up with as we listen to Sleeping On My Dreams by Jacob Collier. The Cardinals sang our hello song as Keisha played the guitar. Followed by spending the rest of class beginning to practice for our Spring Program which is June 7th at 10:45am. Followed by singing our goodbye song!

Thursday

We began Spanish class with Alicia going over the names of our animals in Spanish. We then played a memory game in which Alicia covered 3-4 animal pictures. She continued by asking the Cardinals to close their eyes (Cierra los ojos). Alicia then took 1 or 2 pictures away. Followed by asking friends to open their eyes (Abre los ojos). She then challenged the Cardinal to figure out which pictures are missing. Friends said the animal/s name in Spanish. The Cardinal did such a great job figuring out the missing animal! We did this game a few times with different animals. Next, Alicia put out all the animal's pictures and one by one. She called a Cardinal to hand her the animal that was called. The trick was it was not the animal the friend is studying, it was another friend's animal. Ask your Cardinal to say their animal's name in Spanish along with 1-3 others. Today it was James's M. turn to squeeze la vaca!
